Atlantis
Ear studs
During the middle of the 19th century the French archeologist De Bélizal found a very special ring in the tomb of the Egyptian priest Jua, which was made of Aswan sandstone and showed an extraordinary motif - during that time Egyptian archeology was at the peak and amongst others many excavations in the Valley of Kings were performed. Egyptian legends are known saying that during the reign of pharaoh Senedj (second dynasty) inhabitants of Atlantis lived amongst the Egyptians and especially taught their priests. This period was over 5000 years ago and the found ring was probably made during that time - De Bélizal therefore believed that it was manufactured by the Atlanteans. It is well known that Egyptian pyramids have very special energetic properties and attract and focus positive wave frequencies - the pattern of this ring with its 6 squares, 3 lines and 2 equilateral triangles seems to possess similar capabilities thereby creating an energetic shield of protection that defends against dangers and reflects negative energies. The French investigator Roger de Lafforest wrote a chapter about this piece of jewelry in his book "Ces maisons qui tuent" and explained how this ring protects from terrestrial radiation and negative influences, furthermore it is said to influence the subconscious in a positive way and to grant luck at play and in love and financial success. Nowadays also other pieces of jewelry are made according to the pattern of this ring like the ear studs found on this page. Experiments of de Lafforest showed that it is not important out of what material this jewelry is made and it seems to be unnecessary to charge it (neither magnetically nor psychically). All pieces of jewelry showing this Motif of Atlantis have the property that they adapt to their wearer energetically in the cause of time and it is therefore thought to be unfavourable if one lends them or gives them away to another person after they have been worn for some time. Primarily these ear studs are said to support their wearer in reaching one's full potential, furthermore if they are worn during meditating or sleeping it is believed that they will enhance the intuition and mental capabilities and that they will bring body, mind and spirit into harmony.
These ear studs are made of Sterling Silver. Sterling is also called 925 Silver and consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals. Because of its high quality it is the most frequently used and most popular silver for the production of jewelry. Its name is derived from the Sterling coins that were used in Great Britain until 1920 and which consisted of exactly the same silver alloy.

About us
A main focus of our jewelry collections are magic symbols which are made according to historical artwork. Although a lot of people (like us) appreciate the beauty of the different designs and used materials, only few think about the deeper symbolism of these pieces of jewelry. In our modern world we see so a many different beautiful and decorative items that we usually only enjoy their beauty without considering the deeper meaning or the origin of the used motives and without knowing for what reason these items were formerly used. In our online shop we want to give answers to these questions by offering accurate background knowledge and additional information about every piece of jewelry in our collection.
Since the beginning of mankind jewelry served several different purposes. Already before the invention of money it was for example used as a kind of currency, as a status symbol or as a valuable asset that even could be passed on to future generations. Many pieces of jewelry also had a functional purpose like it is the case with fastenings for clothes, safety pins and belt buckles. However, at a more spiritual level the jewelry also had a symbolic meaning, showed the affiliation to and the status in a social group, and was worn for the protection from evil or simply to show one's own taste.
On account of these many different purposes the meaning of single pieces of jewelry can be very different and depends on the belief and the point of view of the respective manufacturer. In some cultures, e.g., bracelets were used as wedding jewelry, like the wedding rings of today, in other societies necklaces served the same purpose. The symbolic meaning of a piece of jewelry often cannot only be found in the piece itself, but also in its decorations or the used materials. In some cultures it is usual to give pieces of jewelry as a gift at certain important times in life which should emphasize the symbolic meaning of these events with the help of their decorations. These pieces were then often worn as amulets or talismans and were believed to protect and support its wearer during this new situation in life.
Not only the used symbols and decorations differ strongly between the cultures - a huge number of different materials were also used in the course of time. In the beginnings especially shells and pearls of wood and bone were used, because these natural materials were readily available and could easily be processed. Later the precious metals silver and gold became more and more important and also the use of precious stones increased. Nowadays all possible materials are used to underline the meaning of a piece of jewelry even further thereby creating pendants and other jewelry that could not be designed using traditional materials.
