It is said that during the reign of pharaoh Senedj in the second dynasty inhabitants of Atlantis visited Egypt and shared their sophisticated knowledge with the Egyptian priests. During the middle of the 19th century archeological excavations were done in the Egyptian Valley of Kings and the French archeologist De Bélizal found a ring made of Aswan sandstone in the tomb of the priest Jua. Among other things also this ring is believed to have been manufactured 5000 years ago in Atlantis.
The pattern of this piece of jewelry seems to be able to collect cosmic energies with positive frequencies just like the Egyptian pyramids do thereby forming an energetic shield of shelter which protects from dangers and prevents mischief - the ring is engraved with 3 lines surrounded by 6 squares and 2 equilateral triangles. The French investigator Roger de Lafforest describes in his book "Ces maisons qui tuent" how the properties of this ring protect from negative forces and terrestrial radiation and also influence the subconscious in a positive way - people wearing this ring report about luck at play and in love and financial success.

We were always fascinated by pieces of jewelry designed according to historical artwork and magical and other old motifs are a main area of our jewelry collection until today. Nowadays we all are surrounded by designs and motifs from all over the world which we usually choose according to visual aspects without considering the original meaning and symbolism of the various depictions. For sure the beauty of the different designs and materials is a good reason for selecting them but the affinity to a special piece of jewelry or art craft can be enhanced if one knows its deeper meaning and its origin. For this reason we always placed value on the accurate representation and information explaining the various pieces of jewelry in our collection.
 
Since the beginning of mankind jewelry served several different purposes. Already before the invention of money it was for example used as a kind of currency, as a status symbol or as a valuable asset that even could be passed on to future generations. Many pieces of jewelry also had a functional purpose like it is the case with fastenings for clothes, safety pins and belt buckles. However, at a more spiritual level the jewelry also had a symbolic meaning, showed the affiliation to and the status in a social group, and was worn for the protection from evil or simply to show one's own taste.

Whether we are talking about weddings jewelry or talismans and amulets that were used for protection - often the decorations and materials determine the symbolic meaning of a piece of jewelry.
 
Besides the various symbols and designs different cultures use for their pieces of jewelry also a variety of materials are deployed in jewelry production. At the beginning of mankind primarily pearls made of wood and bones and shells were crafted to pendants, since these rather soft materials could easily be processed and were readily available. Later on especially precious metals like gold and silver and various gems were used for valuable jewelry. Today the selection of materials available for the production of jewelry is especially large and various.
