Each of these chains is hand-made and therefore one of a kind with small color variations in comparison to the shown image being possible. Amber chips have been interwoven by hand to a very special chain forming a quite solid design with exceptionally big amounts of natural amber being used. The single strands of this chain are kept in differing tones from honey to cognac thus granting an additional interesting element.

This chain is made of Baltic amber. Amber is a fossil hardened resin of conifers that grew in the cretaceous age (140-66 million years) or the tertiary age (66-1,7 million years). Its color ranges from light yellow to almost black and it can be transparent or opaque. Amber is easily inflammable and burns with a smell of incense. It is only a bit heavier than water and therefore rises up from the bottom of the sea during storms and is then deposited on the shore - the biggest places of discovery are therefore at the shores of the Baltic sea.

A main focus of our jewelry collections are magic symbols which are made according to historical artwork. Although a lot of people (like us) appreciate the beauty of the different designs and used materials, only few think about the deeper symbolism of these pieces of jewelry. Since the beginning of mankind jewelry served several different purposes. Already before the invention of money it was for example used as a kind of currency, as a status symbol or as a valuable asset that even could be passed on to future generations. Later the precious metals silver and gold became more and more important and also the use of precious stones increased. Nowadays all possible materials are used to underline the meaning of a piece of jewelry even further thereby creating pendants and other jewelry that could not be designed using traditional materials.
