Inverted Pentagram
Pendant
Magic Pentagrams and their Meanings: The pentagram is one of the key symbols in western magic tradition - the five points of its star are standing for the five elements of fire, water, earth, air and spirit. Magicians and witches are writing this symbol into the air within their ritual circle in order to be able to use its elemental powers and also the practitioners of high magic are using pentagrams to protect them from negative energies and to keep these banned.
The Pendant Inverted Pentagram: Since the 19th century the Inverted Pentagram is associated with Satanism and also called by the name "Drudenfuss", because the footprints of diabolic spirits of nature, the so-called "Druds", are believed to look just the same. But in fact the Inverted Pentagram is much older and has already been used by the Freemasons as a symbol for the dog star Sirius. In some Wicca covens this sign also stands for the second grade and therefore a higher level of white magic. According to old belief the Inverted Pentagram can be used for directing higher energies into material manifestations.
Example of a Charging Ritual from an old Grimoire: 1. Pentagrammon: It is helpful if you carry the symbol close to your body for some time in order to get familiar with the magic powers of its pentagram before you start this charging ritual. 2. Preparatio (Preparation):
Place a table with a white tablecloth in the center of a room - furthermore you need incense cones or joss sticks, a white candle, a candle holder, a glass of water and a dash of salt. Pay attention that you will not be disturbed and darken the room: The glass of water, the white candle and the incense are placed in the middle of the table. Ignite the candle and the incense and put the symbol close to them. Close your eyes and for a few minutes think about the symbolic meaning of the sign - you should imagine its effects as strongly as possible. 3. Purificatio (Cleaning): Put a dash of salt into the glass of water and imagine how a gold-coloured light dissipates from the salt and into the water. Pour some of the water on the sign and imagine, how the pendant is glowing in a golden light - this way the symbol is purified by the element of water. Then hold the symbol into the smoke of the incense and purify it by the element of air in this way. Furthermore move it above the flame of the candle in order to purify it by the element of fire, and finally sprinkle some salt on it in order to purify it by the element of earth. 4. Potestatem Facere (Charging): Close you eyes, take the symbol into your hand and imagine, how a sphere of brilliant white light is hovering above you - feel the power and the size of the sphere. Imagine with your inner eye a golden beam of light which comes out of the sphere, flows through your head and into your solar plexus and this way strengthens and warms you with a golden light. Again think about the symbolic meaning of the sign - then let gold-coloured light flow through your arm and your hand into the symbol. 5. Salvatio (Reorientation): Take a meal and have a drink to lead your body back and to relax a bit. The symbol stays charged as long as you wear it within your aura. 6. Exoneratio (Discharging): This ritual has filled the symbol with powerful energies and it will therefore cause special changes in your life. If these changes are undesirably strong you can discharge the pentagram by imagining how the energy leaves the symbol and by simultaneously holding it under running water for a few minutes.

About us
A main focus of our jewelry collections are magic symbols which are made according to historical artwork. Although a lot of people (like us) appreciate the beauty of the different designs and used materials, only few think about the deeper symbolism of these pieces of jewelry. In our modern world we see so a many different beautiful and decorative items that we usually only enjoy their beauty without considering the deeper meaning or the origin of the used motives and without knowing for what reason these items were formerly used. In our online shop we want to give answers to these questions by offering accurate background knowledge and additional information about every piece of jewelry in our collection.
Jewelry always had various functions which changed during the course of time: Because of the precious materials that were often used for its design it often was a valuable asset and sometime was even used as a currency. But especially in ancient cultures the spiritual meaning of a piece of jewelry was always important and the different motifs were symbols for the affiliation of its wearer to and his status in a social group. Furthermore jewelry can also serve a practical purpose like this is the case with safety pins, belt buckles and brooches.
On account of these many different purposes the meaning of single pieces of jewelry can be very different and depends on the belief and the point of view of the respective manufacturer. In some cultures, e.g., bracelets were used as wedding jewelry, like the wedding rings of today, in other societies necklaces served the same purpose. The symbolic meaning of a piece of jewelry often cannot only be found in the piece itself, but also in its decorations or the used materials. In some cultures it is usual to give pieces of jewelry as a gift at certain important times in life which should emphasize the symbolic meaning of these events with the help of their decorations. These pieces were then often worn as amulets or talismans and were believed to protect and support its wearer during this new situation in life.
Besides the various symbols and designs different cultures use for their pieces of jewelry also a variety of materials are deployed in jewelry production. At the beginning of mankind primarily pearls made of wood and bones and shells were crafted to pendants, since these rather soft materials could easily be processed and were readily available. Later on especially precious metals like gold and silver and various gems were used for valuable jewelry. Today the selection of materials available for the production of jewelry is especially large and various.
