Magic Pentagrams and their Meanings:
The pentagram is one of the key symbols in western magic tradition - the five points of its star are standing for the five elements of fire, water, earth, air and spirit. Magicians and witches are writing this symbol into the air within their ritual circle in order to be able to use its elemental powers and also the practitioners of high magic are using pentagrams to protect them from negative energies and to keep these banned.
The Pendant Pentalpha:
The perfect geometry of this talisman is said to help its wearer to find harmony and stability: The five triangles forming a pentagram are also called alphas and therefore in ancient Greece the pentagram was also named Pentalpha. At first this unusual pentagram had been worn by the followers of the philosopher Pythagoras as a secret sign to acknowledge themselves as peers.
Example of a Charging Ritual from an old Grimoire:
1. Pentagrammon:
You should carry this symbol with you for some time before casting this charging ritual - this way you can make yourself familiar with the magic energies of your pentagram.
2. Preparatio (Preparation):
Place a table with a white tablecloth in the center of a room - furthermore you need incense cones or joss sticks, a white candle, a candle holder, a glass of water and a dash of salt.
Pay attention that you will not be disturbed and darken the room: The glass of water, the white candle and the incense are placed in the middle of the table. Ignite the candle and the incense and put the symbol close to them. Close your eyes and for a few minutes think about the symbolic meaning of the sign - you should imagine its effects as strongly as possible.
3. Purificatio (Cleaning):
Move the symbol through the smoke of the incense in order to purify it by the element of air. Then hold it above the candle flame thereby purifying it by the element of fire. Put a dash of salt into the water and image with your inner eye how the glass is suffused with gold-coloured light. Put some drops of the water on the symbol and image how it starts to shimmer in a golden light because of the purification by the element of water. Finally disperse some salt on the symbol in order to purify it by the element of earth.
4. Potestatem Facere (Charging):
Sit at the table and hold the symbol in your hand with closed eyes. Imagine with your inner eye how a big, shining white sphere of light is hovering above you full of power. A beam of golden light emits from this sphere and flows through your head into your solar plexus - this way your body is filled with golden-coloured light, is warmed and strengthened. One more time think about the meaning of the symbol and let the light flow from your solar plexus into your arm, your hand and finally into the symbol.
5. Salvatio (Reorientation):
Take a meal and have a drink to lead your body back and to relax a bit. The symbol stays charged as long as you wear it within your aura.
6. Exoneratio (Discharging):
By charging the symbol has become a powerful sign and will cause changes in your life. If you find these changes to be unintended strong, you can discharge the symbol: Hold it under running water for a few minutes and imagine with your inner eye how the energy is streaming out of it.

About us
A main focus of our jewelry collections are magic symbols which are made according to historical artwork. Although a lot of people (like us) appreciate the beauty of the different designs and used materials, only few think about the deeper symbolism of these pieces of jewelry. In our modern world we see so a many different beautiful and decorative items that we usually only enjoy their beauty without considering the deeper meaning or the origin of the used motives and without knowing for what reason these items were formerly used. In our online shop we want to give answers to these questions by offering accurate background knowledge and additional information about every piece of jewelry in our collection.
Since the beginning of mankind jewelry served several different purposes. Already before the invention of money it was for example used as a kind of currency, as a status symbol or as a valuable asset that even could be passed on to future generations. Many pieces of jewelry also had a functional purpose like it is the case with fastenings for clothes, safety pins and belt buckles. However, at a more spiritual level the jewelry also had a symbolic meaning, showed the affiliation to and the status in a social group, and was worn for the protection from evil or simply to show one's own taste.
Since jewelry is such a diverse cultural asset the meaning of a given piece can depend on the point of view and beliefs of its creator. For example many cultures developed pieces of jewelry showing to others whether its wearer is married or single: In our Western world these are the wedding rings while in African countries e.g. special bracelets or necklaces are worn for this purpose. Whether we are talking about weddings jewelry or talismans and amulets that were used for protection - often the decorations and materials determine the symbolic meaning of a piece of jewelry.
Not only the used symbols and decorations differ strongly between the cultures - a huge number of different materials were also used in the course of time. In the beginnings especially shells and pearls of wood and bone were used, because these natural materials were readily available and could easily be processed. Later the precious metals silver and gold became more and more important and also the use of precious stones increased. Nowadays all possible materials are used to underline the meaning of a piece of jewelry even further thereby creating pendants and other jewelry that could not be designed using traditional materials.
