This Chinese talisman displays the magic chrysanthemum Chu Hua which, according to Far Eastern belief, makes life easier and in former time was reserved for the noble families. The term talisman originates from the ancient Greek word teleo which means "to initiate" or "to magically charge".

This pendant is made of copper and brass with a framing made of pewter. With the exception of gold copper is the only colored metal and just like silver and gold it is classified as a precious metal. The framing of this pendant is made of pewter, since pewter is a shiny, soft metal which is very malleable and has a good tarnish resistance.
