Egyptian Culture

Cultural change had no positive value in ancient Egypt

AvalonsTreasury.com: Rounded Corner, End (Page: Ancient Times, Ancient Cultures) [10 x 10 px]
In our modern days we are used to rapid changes in our society, in the technologies we use and in all other aspects of our live. During the 3,000 years of Egyptian history in contrast only little cultural changes occured because the Egyptian society strived for continuity in old values.

All cultures undergo change, and we have long recognized that change in one part of a cultural system results in changes in other parts of that system. We also know that societies often appear to be in equilibrium for long periods unmarked by great change. The longevity of many of the world's prehistoric and historic cultures reflects a continuity in their economic, sociopolitical, and religious systems.

Ancient Epyptian history is rich in examples of cultural continuity but naturally also of cultural change. The 3,000 years of history argues for stability of basic economic, religious, social, and political systems. Yet in order for a culture to continue in the face of expansion, trade, invasion, and technological innovation, changes must occur.

The ancient Egyptians saw no positive value in cultural change, except at the technological level, and they went to great lengths to prevent disruption in their society. Therefore many of the rituals they performed encourage continuity with earlier periods of their history that they visualized as ideal.

Wikipedia Definition:

Language and culture

AvalonsTreasury.com: Rounded Corner, End (Page: Ancient Times, Ancient Cultures) [10 x 10 px]
The connection between culture and language has been noted as far back as the classical period and probably long before. The ancient Greeks, for example, distinguished between civilized peoples and bárbaros "those who babble", i.e. those who speak unintelligible languages. The fact that different groups speak different, unintelligible languages is often considered more tangible evidence for cultural differences than other less obvious cultural traits.

Water was the key to the forming of ancient cultures

AvalonsTreasury.com: Rounded Corner, End (Page: Ancient Times, Ancient Cultures) [10 x 10 px]
About 5,000 years ago the first ancient civilizations started to replace the Neolithic communities that existed before them. These new civilizations all began in different river valleys which facilitated their rapid growth.

For sure a well written story is based on facts and presents them in a neutral way, without being sensational by exaggerating the given information. Try to write in the style of a good newspaper and not of a tabloid press which achieves its number of copies merely by overdoing of facts. In the end you can earn the respect of your readers by written good stories and this respect than also transfers to your website. For sure it is also crucial that not only the published stories but also the website itself offers interesting information about a given topic. Use you imagination whether your visitors like further informative texts, videos or interactive presentations and pay attention that you continuously add new content to your website so that recurring visitors will find something new that might interest them. Besides writing thrilling stories and associating them with your own website your website itself is the most important flagship of your online presence.
