Large varicolored chips made of natural amber have been used to create this chain displaying all shades that can be found in Baltic amber - thus creating a very natural design with each chain being unique in arrangement and coloring of the amber chips. Light, nearly white chip are thereby alternating with pieces of amber in honey and cognac.

This chain is made of Baltic amber. Amber is only a bit heavier than water and therefore rises up from the bottom of the sea during storms and is then deposited on the shore - the biggest places of discovery are therefore at the shores of the Baltic sea. Amber is a fossil hardened resin of conifers that grew in the cretaceous age (140-66 million years) or the tertiary age (66-1,7 million years). It is easily inflammable and burns with a smell of incense. The color of amber ranges from light yellow to almost black and it can be transparent or opaque.
