This chain is entirely hand-made from Baltic amber and therefore one of a kind and this way each piece can display small pattern variations - the design of this piece of jewelry shows honey-colored variations of a classic amber chip chain. Black amber gems are dividing the honey-colored chips at regular intervals creating a very interesting contrast to the chain's light yellow shimmer.

This chain is made of Baltic amber. Amber is a fossil hardened resin of conifers that grew in the cretaceous age (140-66 million years) or the tertiary age (66-1,7 million years). Its color ranges from light yellow to almost black and it can be transparent or opaque. Amber is easily inflammable and burns with a smell of incense. It is only a bit heavier than water and therefore rises up from the bottom of the sea during storms and is then deposited on the shore - the biggest places of discovery are therefore at the shores of the Baltic sea.
