Celtic PentcrossPendantForbidden Pendants - AMirror of our Soul: This "forbidden" pendant is a key to our subconsciousness and even the word "forbidden" itself lures us to the more mystic, magic and darker aspects of our soul which we often, contingent upon society, reject as pure fantasy. In this pendant archetypical pictures are combined with seals and sigils imaged in old grimoires to create a powerful magic amulet. The Pendant Celtic Pentcross: The Pentcross depicts a powerful synthesis between Christian and Pagan symbols: Directly in the center of this pendant an ancient Celtic knot pattern symbolizing life is located and between the axes of the cross four pentagrams are shown each of them standing for the five elements of fire, water, earth, air and spirit. This way an amulett is created which is said to protect its wearer in every possible situation. In former times this cross has often been worn by alchemists who did not deal with converting base metals into gold, but with the transformation of human beings into a higher form of life. Since this school of alchemy had been falsely forbidden for practicing black magic, also the Pentcross was very hard to obtain for long periods of time. Example of a Charging Ritual from an old Grimoire: 1. Pentagrammon: It is helpful if the sign you want to charge carries a pentagram - this way the five points of its star will bundle the energies of the elements earth, fire, water, air and spirit and keep away negative powers from the ritual thereby protecting you. You should wear the sign for some time in order to get familiar with the magic powers of its pentagram before going on with this charging ritual. 2. Preparatio (Preparation): In a quiet room prepare a table with a white tablecloth and take care to have ready a white candle with a candle holder, joss sticks or incense cones, a glass of water and a dash of salt. Darken the room and ensure that you are undisturbed: Put the white candle, the glass of water and the incense on the table, light the incense and the candle and place the sign besides it. Meditate with closed eyes over the meaning of the sign for some minutes - try to imagine its effect as clearly as possible. 3. Purificatio (Cleaning): Put a dash of salt into the glass of water and imagine how the water is filled by a golden light. Pour some of the water on the sign and imagine how it too is glowing in a golden color thereby being cleaned by the element of water. Then move the sign through the smoke of the incense in order to clean it by the element of air. Now move it above the candle flame and sprinkle some salt on it thereby cleaning it with the elements of fire and earth. 4. Potestatem Facere (Charging): Take the sign in your hand and close your eyes. Imagine that a shimmering white sphere of light is hovering above you - feel how large and full of energy this sphere is. Visualize a golden ray of light which leaves the sphere and flows through your head into your solar plexus - this way your body is filled with golden light, is warmed and strengthened. Again concentrate on the effect and the meaning of the sign and let the gold-colored light flow through your arm into your hand and then into the sign. 5. Salvatio (Reorientation): Take a drink or eat a meal in order to recover - this way your body is led back into this world. The sign will stay charged as long as you keep it close to your body. 6. Exoneratio (Discharging): After charging you hold a very powerful symbol in your hands which can cause deep changes in your life. If the effect of the sign is undesirably strong you can discharge it by holding it under running water and imagining for a few minutes how the energy is leaving the sign. About us
We were always fascinated by pieces of jewelry designed according to historical artwork and magical and other old motifs are a main area of our jewelry collection until today. Nowadays we all are surrounded by designs and motifs from all over the world which we usually choose according to visual aspects without considering the original meaning and symbolism of the various depictions. For sure the beauty of the different designs and materials is a good reason for selecting them but the affinity to a special piece of jewelry or art craft can be enhanced if one knows its deeper meaning and its origin. For this reason we always placed value on the accurate representation and information explaining the various pieces of jewelry in our collection. Jewelry always had various functions which changed during the course of time: Because of the precious materials that were often used for its design it often was a valuable asset and sometime was even used as a currency. But especially in ancient cultures the spiritual meaning of a piece of jewelry was always important and the different motifs were symbols for the affiliation of its wearer to and his status in a social group. Furthermore jewelry can also serve a practical purpose like this is the case with safety pins, belt buckles and brooches. On account of these many different purposes the meaning of single pieces of jewelry can be very different and depends on the belief and the point of view of the respective manufacturer. In some cultures, e.g., bracelets were used as wedding jewelry, like the wedding rings of today, in other societies necklaces served the same purpose. The symbolic meaning of a piece of jewelry often cannot only be found in the piece itself, but also in its decorations or the used materials. In some cultures it is usual to give pieces of jewelry as a gift at certain important times in life which should emphasize the symbolic meaning of these events with the help of their decorations. These pieces were then often worn as amulets or talismans and were believed to protect and support its wearer during this new situation in life. Not only the used symbols and decorations differ strongly between the cultures - a huge number of different materials were also used in the course of time. In the beginnings especially shells and pearls of wood and bone were used, because these natural materials were readily available and could easily be processed. Later the precious metals silver and gold became more and more important and also the use of precious stones increased. Nowadays all possible materials are used to underline the meaning of a piece of jewelry even further thereby creating pendants and other jewelry that could not be designed using traditional materials.
