This pendant combines the contrasts of liaison and disengagement, but according to Celtic belief the positive aspects are dominating: The Thread of Life combines everything on earth in its eternal knot and symbolizes the merged relations between man and nature. With all of its linkages and conjunctions it forms this Celtic knot - on the one hand it is, according to old belief, able to connect you with the protective energies of our universe, on the other hand it also symbolizes the problems and hindrances the solving of a knot can bring. Sorcerers and witches, who follow Celtic traditions, quite often tie such knots to weave magic and to gain power through the continuity and connection of all things.

This pendant is made of Sterling Silver. Sterling is also called 925 Silver and consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals. Because of its high quality it is the most frequently used and most popular silver for the production of jewelry. Its name is derived from the Sterling coins that were used in Great Britain until 1920 and which consisted of exactly the same silver alloy.
