The term talisman originates from the ancient Greek word teleo which means "to initiate" or "to magically charge". According to ancient belief the Wheel of Law is said to bestow health, wealth and luck in life: This talisman is an old magic symbol from Japan, which is worn their until today because of its meaning.

This pendant is made of copper and brass with a framing made of pewter. With the exception of gold copper is the only colored metal and just like silver and gold it is classified as a precious metal. The framing of this pendant is made of pewter, since pewter is a shiny, soft metal which is very malleable and has a good tarnish resistance. The brass, a copper zinc alloy, is responsible for the yellow golden parts of this piece of jewelry and the copper for the red golden ones.
